Hydrogen Technology Professional Days 2026.03.24 – 2026.03.25
On March 24, we had the honour of hosting one of Hungary's most significant hydrogen technology events — the MHTSZ – GANZAIR Hydrogen Technology Industry Day — at our Kiskunhalas manufacturing facility.
On March 24, we had the honour of hosting one of Hungary's most significant hydrogen technology events — the MHTSZ – GANZAIR Hydrogen Technology Industry Day — right here at our Kiskunhalas manufacturing facility.
The event brought together world-class companies and Hungarian energy leaders under one roof, united by a shared commitment to the green hydrogen transition.
We were proud to welcome:
Ballard Power Systems — global leader in hydrogen fuel cell technology
Plug Power — pioneers of the end-to-end green hydrogen ecosystem
Burckhardt Compression — world-leading compression solutions for hydrogen applications
MOL Group — driving green hydrogen production and electrolysis in Central Europe
MVM — Hungary's largest energy group
Fornovo Gas — specialized gas technology solutions
Petrolterv — Hungarian engineering excellence in energy infrastructure
Veproil — specialists in oil & gas and energy systems
MFGT – Magyar Földgáztároló Zrt. — Hungary's national gas storage operator
Organized by the Hungarian Hydrogen Technology Association and Ganzair Kompresszortechnika Kft., with the support of the Ministry of National Economy, the day featured expert presentations, live technology demonstrations, and B2B roundtables.
A dedicated day for students
The following day, we opened our doors to students — because the hydrogen future belongs to the next generation, too. A dedicated academic programme brought together students and leading researchers for a series of expert talks:
Péter Nemes, GANZAIR — Hydrogen technology through an engineer's lens: GANZAIR's domestic projects
Dr. Virág Mészáros, GANZAIR — Energy, Mobility, Sustainability
Zoltán Mayer, MHTE — Hydrogen: an old molecule with a new role & its fields of application
Dr. Barna Hanula, SZE (Széchenyi István University) — Hydrogen and sustainable mobility
Dr. Pál Bárkányi, ÓE (Óbuda University) — Cybersecurity aspects in energy and mobility
Dr. Balázs Endródi, SZTE (University of Szeged) — SZTE hydrogen research projects & further study opportunities
Dr. Dávid Kis, NJE (John von Neumann University) — NJE hydrogen projects & academic pathways
The day concluded with a live demonstration of GANZAIR's hydrogen technology equipment — giving students a hands-on look at where theory meets industrial reality.
“At GANZAIR, green hydrogen is not a future ambition — it is our present reality.”
Thank you to every speaker, partner, student, and participant who made these two days exceptional.
